Features

Charts: You can manage a variety of student data using five different charts. Each chart lets you do things your way.
Grade-clicking: To save time, you can enter student scores by clicking on buttons instead of typing.
Filters: Choose from built-in or your own filters to quickly show just the students, assignments and scores you want to see.
Mini-Summary: Informative graphs and charts that redraw as you enter data are readily available. When you need it, a full Summaries window is also available.
You Set the Order: In addition to sorting, you can change the order of students and assignments by dragging rows and columns. Choose the content of additional columns to show points, ID numbers, rank and more.

Basic Features

Student Features: A single class can have up to 1000 students. Import students from other software including school administration software. Student records can include numerous user-defined fields.
Attendance Features: Up to ten master attendance categories (Absences and Tardies) can be used with up to fifteen subcategories (excused and unexcused). Partial-day absences can be recorded. Daily attendance can be exported over a network to school administration software. Attendance can be taken using attendance or seating charts.
Seating Chart Features: Seats can be designed using a variety of formats and colors. Classroom furniture can be added using a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Seats and furniture can be rotated and located anywhere to match the classroom.
Networking: Gradebook Documents: A gradebook can be placed on a network allowing access from any computer. A gradebook cannot be opened by multiple users simultaneously.
Grading Features: A single class can have up to 1000 assignments. Grade scales can have letters, words, numbers and can be unique to each student, and each score category. Score categories can be weighted or unweighted. Scores can include numbers, grades, symbols and words. Scores can be entered by typing, clicking and filling down and can be entered directly from unsorted student papers using a high-speed search tool. Text can be used with scores or in place of scores. Footnotes can be attached. Scores can be dropped and curved. Automatically calculated grades can be overridden and curved.
Other Features: Students, assignments and seats can be sorted or moved by dragging. Copy data tools allow you to copy any data to other classes. A 50,000-word dictionary is available to spell-check all text. Filters can be designed and used to display just the desired data. Porting tools allow data exchange with other programs. Full editing and undo are nearly always available. Customize color, font, font size, column width and more. Other features include a TA mode, password protection and in-context help.

Internet Features

HTML Reports: These are for individual teachers, schools and districts that want a free way to post student reports for viewing on the internet with password security. If you don't have access to a school or district web server, web space provided by your ISP can be used as long as the space provided is at least 4MB.
Email Reports: Using Easy Grade Pro's HTML reporting features, it is easy to create a folder of student reports for each of your classes. These reports can be attached to your email messages, sent and viewed by parents and students using their web browser. The reports are identical to the HTML Reports above but are sent via email rather than posted on a website.
Edline: Edline provides a complete Internet platform that serves as your school's website or a companion website. It allows one-click uploading of student reports directly from Easy Grade Pro making it the easiest and most secure way to regularly upload reports. In addition to grades, you can upload announcements, calendars, news, pictures and more. Reports can be automatically emailed to parents! Gradebooks can be automatically populated with students. Basmati: Basmati is open-source software that can run on your school or district's Linux, Unix, Windows NT/2000 or Mac OS X web server. Parents and students can use a single password to view grades from all classes and teachers. Once your school or district has set up the software on its server, you can use Easy Grade Pro to generate a single grade file with information on all of your students and classes and upload it to the server using your web browser.
